Somewhat short and sweet game review this week.
The Game: 400 point teams as usual except no clix over 100 points. Also each player randomly rolled to determine what their team ability would be.
The Map: A nice map layout this week with a fair number of buildings yet some large open areas.
The Teams:
Adam: Much to the dismay of Jeff and Chris, Adam's random team ability ended up being the Superman team ability. This is one of the uber team abilities that allows the team to ignore hindering terrain for movement and - more importantly - stealth. Basically there was no way to hide from Adam's ranged attacks. Adam team was a super buddies/JLI team. Elongated Man (experienced), Ice (veteran), Fire (veteran), Mary Marvel (rookie), Blue Beetle (veteran) and Booster Gold (veteran).
Jeff: The random team ability Jeff rolled was the Suicide Squad team ability, which more or less give you free healing if an adjacent teammate is KO'd. Jeff had a nice Young Avengers team, with Quicksilver representing Speed. Quicksilver (experienced), Iron Lad, Stature, Patriot, Wiccan, Hulking.
Dan: I rolled the Hydra team ability, which gives a ranged attacker +1 for every adjacent teammate with line of sight to the target. For my team, I went with a "mentally distraught" theme. Moon Knight, Joker (experienced), Captain Marvel (experienced), Ultimate Marvel Girl (veteran), Scarlet Witch (experienced) and Aurora (veteran).
Chris: Chris rolled up the Skrull team ability, which is like a fancy version of plasticity (or is it shape change?). Blue Beetle (experienced), Booster Gold (rookie), Power Man (experienced), Dr. Mid-nite (veteran), Phantom Lady (experienced), Black Knight (experienced), and Warpath (veteran).
